Pradeep Dalal: Bhopal MP Book Release

SATURDAY JUNE 17, 4-7 PM

Sala Diaz is pleased to announce the release of Pradeep Dalal’s limited edition artist book, Bhopal MP.

To commemorate this occasion, we will be extending his exhibition by two weeks, with a Book Release on Saturday June 17, and a Closing Reception on June 24. Both events run from 4-7 PM.

An architect, photographer and writer, Dalal negotiates the copious—and liminal—territories between linguistic, pictorial and culturally specific modes of communication, both revealing and questioning the ways ideas (re)circulate throughout the world. Produced and printed in India, the book’s imagery and seminal texts form the backbone of Dalal’s current installation at Sala Diaz, extending his “bifocal frame of reference” from the gallery walls to the printed page.

In addition, on Sunday, July 2, Dalal will present his Sala Diaz exhibition Copy/Scan/Print/Repeat and book BhopalMP at the Queens Museum during a three-day convening of South Asian American artists, academics and curators, Fatal Love: Where Are We Now, sponsored by The Smithsonian and The Asia Society.
